New member, new site, and Blues Jam countdown

Undoubtedly you’ve seen him playing with us the last few months and now it’s official. Please put your hands together to welcome the newest member of CBPlues… sax man, Scott Ramminger. We had a real chemistry with Scott from the first time he played with us at Sunset Grill last June. Not only has his sax playing been a great addition, he’s also the hardest working man in “Mac Lean”, finding us gigs and pushing us that extra little bit.

We’ve moved the site to a new webserver and installed this real live blog. The new host will allow us to do some more cool stuff in the future. Please note that in the process, we’ve dropped our old spam-ridden email addresses. I’d give them to you now, but of course they’d be found again. On a not so happy note, we’ll be loosing a night life fixture from Arlinton. The building that houses Dr. Dremo’s Taphouse has been sold, the developer’s plans have been approved, and construction will start in about a year (sometime between February and April 2008). We’re grateful to Dr. Dremo’s for hosting our Blues Jam for the last 3 years and look forward to celebrating this last one with them. So, do yourself a favor… don’t put off coming out to a jam too much longer… or you’ll miss it. By the way, the next one is Sunday, March 18.
