Elvis’ Birthday Bash
We had an awesome time at Elvis’ Birthday Bash at Dr. Dremo’s. CPBlues opened up the show with a one hour killer set, leaving the E-heads wanting more. Bob was amazing as Elvis (as usual) debuting a new black jumpsuit. However, he was upstaged, when his 6-year-old daughter, Savannah, came out in full Elvis regalia and did her rendition of “Blue Suede Shoes.” We should have put her on last, cause she stole the show (but she had bed-time issues). In all the event was a huge success. Not only did they have the band, but at least 7 other Elvis “tribute artists,” plus a bunch of enthusiastic fans singing their hearts out and doing their best lip curls. The staff had both music and video pumping into the upstairs room, so the entire club witnessed the Elvis Extravaganza. Big props to Dr. Dremo’s staff, especially Andrew, Brandt and Charlie, for putting this thing together and publicizing it. The place was absolutely packed. They even had a line of at least 50 people waiting to get in at one point. It was reminiscent of the old Bardo Elvis parties. So stay tuned, you’ll definitely see more Elvis at some point.
