Special Guests

Here you'll find some good friends and some great musicians. These guys are very talented players... players in the true sense of the word. They're so busy trying to get their groove on with anyone they can, it's almost impossible to get them to join us full time. They love playing the field so much, you might see them perform with several bands in a very short period of time - sometimes in the same night! We're just so thrilled when we can get them to sit in with us.

Chris Given

Chris Given — Saxophone

Fifteen years ago, Chris Given walked precariously away from a burgeoning music career with the Yams from Outer Space, and hasn't looked back. He now does computers but at times has the ability to come out of retirement and "Rock the Muther F'ing House." Resembling a short umpa lumpa with a goatee and a receding hair line, with the soul of old dead bluesman, and the funk which could only come from down below, when the temperature turns around 110° Fahrenheit, Chris knows how to ROCK. He often states, "there's something bout the blues... it's so depressing", which the people who know the blues completely understand. If there were two words to describe Chris it would be "happy curmudgeon."

Roger Hart

Roger Hart — Harmonica

Roger, originally hails from NYC, where he started playing harmonica about 40 years ago, after hearing Paul Butterfield at the Filmore East one night. He has played from NY to Canada to Mississippi. He spent a couple of years as a street musician playing all over this continent (accompanied by his dog, Sen) His style is ecclectic - ranging from Blues to Jazz to Bluegrass and Country. Roger figures he'll put down the harp and stop playing just as soon as he's dead. But not before.
